EarthStages: The Performances
Circles and Starbursts
Since 1980, Mike’s unique high-octane
participatory celebration of the environment and
theater has been performed in more than 20
states for almost one million people, everywhere
from preschool classrooms to conference
keynotes!  You’ll dance to the “Ballet of Air,”
become a riotous rainstorm in “ThunderClaps,”
join the chorus of bellowing cows in “The Story of
the Sun in Six-Part Harmony,” and grow in a forest
while “Treecycling.”  Mike weaves improvisation,
magic tricks, juggling, group poetry, humor, and
movement, and packs more participation into one
show than seems even possible.

“Circles” has been performed at museums like the
American Museum of Natural History and the
Academy of Natural Sciences, state environmental
education conferences in Florida, Michigan, New
York and Pennsylvania, national conferences like
the Conservation Education Association and the
National Science Teachers Association, theaters
like Appel Farm’s and Oklahoma City’s performing
arts theaters, nature centers like the Schuylkill
Center for Environmental Education and the
Nature Center at Shaker Lakes, schools
nationwide, even churches, street corners, and
malls!

“Circles” has anchored the Earth Day celebrations
of hundreds of organizations.  See why you can’t
stop smiling after a raucous presentation of
“Circles and Starbursts.”
