Hosting and Emceeing: Drawing on his experiences as a radio host and public program presenter, Mike for decades has facilitated lively town meetings and panel discussions that engage audiences on critical environmental issues. Writing: As a writer, his first book, Wild Philly, has just been released with Timber Press. Mike has authored weekly columns on preservation and environmental issues for two different local newspapers since 1997, where in 2006 the Suburban Newspapers of America honored him for outstanding writing. He has published articles in Green Teacher, E: The Environmental Magazine and Learning, placed numerous book reviews and op-ed pieces in The Philadelphia Inquirer, and wrote an acclaimed regular column in his state’s environmental education journal.
Consulting: As an environmental educator and nonprofit leader, Mike has consulted with groups and organizations for years on topics as diverse as program planning, strategic and master planning, and more. Mike can facilitate new program and curriculum design at your site, train your staff in environmental education practices, and even share how to weave issues like climate change and biodiversity into existing programming.
